Support Our Mission

In 1891, A Presbyterian woman named Rose Anna Hughes left money to the Presbyterian Church to open a home for widows in Kentucky. In 1941 Rose Anna’s dream finally became a reality. Because of her generosity, Presbyterian Homes of Kentucky opened its first home for widows on the historic St. James Court in downtown Louisville.

Rose Anna’s gift impacted many lives when the home was opened. Today, her gift has turned into a legacy. Presbyterian Homes of Kentucky has served thousands of seniors because of one woman’s gift.

What will your legacy be?

The Caring Hands Fund

Our goal is to keep residents in the Presbyterian Homes of Kentucky family. When someone becomes part of our family, we do everything we can to help them stay with us.

As a not-for-profit organization, we are a mission and operate with limited resources. If a resident in one of our Personal Care or Assisted Living communities exhausts their resources, we invite them to apply for The Caring Hands Fund. If they meet the criteria, the resident receives supplemental payments and is able to remain in their community and continue to receive services.

The Caring Hands Fund is funded by generous donations from individuals in our community. Please consider supporting our seniors who are in need.
